Advantages: Funny, thought provoking. A classic.

Disadvantages: Sometimes hard to read

For some reason, my earlier review of this book disappeared. So here it is again.
This aging book is still as relevent as ever. It concerns itself with the attempts of an American Air-Force Captain to get himself sent home from the second World War.
The critics seem to be divided as to whether this is a work of Genius, or utter rubbish. The prose is sometimes clumsy, some sections are incredibly hard to read, but I am firmly of the former opinion.
Darkly funny, thought provoking, and a great anti-war plot make this book something special indeed.
There were a couple of occasions when it was so difficult to read that I though about putting it away, but I'm glad I didn't. If you want something very different, and you can take it, buy this book.
