Advantages: Realistic style of writing

Disadvantages: Very Scary

Most people think that books cannot be in any way "scary", and so did I, until I read this book.

***The story*** (I'll try not to spoil it!)

The plot of this book is quite closely related to "I know what you did last Summer" and very scary. A group of teenagers drive through a remote road and run over a man, killing him, they dump the body and all is fine. Then the letters start arriving forcing each member of the group in turn to perform a task a sick or often huumiliating task or "pay the consequences".

The story does finally draw to a conclusion leaving you wondering how the writer could fit in a sequel, but Christopher Pile does indeed do this, and the second book is just a good.(Though no harm comes to them in this book watch out for Chainletter 2.)

***My opinion***

This book actually took me six months to read, because after reading a few pages I was actually shivering. If you do choose to read this book remember that it is terrifying, and this is by no means an exaggeration!

If you can stomach it then this book is indeed very good but I am slightly reluctant to recommed it to everybody. The writer does indeed have an unbelievable talent for writing scary books.

The goods points of this book are that the characters, plot, and tone of phrase are all very convincing. Making it an even scarier read. Do not read before bedtime!

Ooh, I'm too wimpy to read scary things!

I just read your profile by the way. So hi! The thing is, not many people will find their way to your homepage on dooyoo unless they either see an opinion of yours in the new in lists (links on the left), or they see your name in commentary sections or the lists of who has rated opinions. Reading around the site, taking an interest in what's going on, and generally being a part of it all is the best way to develop a readership. Why not take a look around the site and have a bit of a read and rate? I'm sure you'll probably make some friends that way too.

Um... of course, you don't have to do that! You should make sure you have fun on dooyoo above all. Welcome again!

Welcome to Dooyoo! You got the essential with this op - you told us how this book mde you feel. But you need to say MUCH more! I have a feeling that you are easily capable of giving a pithy synopsis and a thumbnail of Christopher Pike's kind of writing. Say more - I want to rate this opinion higher! Tell me when you've updated it.
