Advantages: Quick and easy read, Not really just a children's book -- look for subtle nuances and allegories, It's just a terribly wonderful story!

Disadvantages: none at all!

I just have to say that I got this book as a present when I was about 8 years old, and that would be 20 years ago now. The magic of the book still never ceases to lift up my spirits whenever I'm down. It's one of those books that I make sure I read at least once a year. Of course it would make more sense (or would make it more interesting) if you're prone to suspension of disbelief as I am. =)
