Cheeky monkey is a practical joker and loves to play tricks on people, this morning he woke up in a particularly cheeky mood and goes out playing pranks. Firstly cheeky monkey comes across a leopard and decides it would be funny to play dot to dot whith the leopards spots so he gets a piece of chalk and joins up all the dots on the poor leopard. Next he comes across a very pritty flamingo and decides to throw mud at her to dirty all her pritty feathers. Then it is baby elephants turn to be on the recieving end of cheeky monkeys jokes, he ties baby elephants trunk in a knot. Word gets back to his mother about his bad behaviour ... Cheeky monkey is a book I borrowed from the library to read to my grandson aged 4. Cheeky monkey is written and illustrated by Curtis Joblin. Published by Oxford university press in 2006. Curtis Joblin is the production designer of Bob the builder TV shows. The cover a bright green with an illustration of a monkey with a cheeky smile hanging by his tail from a tree branch and the title CHEEKY MONKEY in red stood out caught my eye. This book is 25cm square 28 pages long. Each page has any number of words on it up to thirty some as few as three. The text is large, easy to read.
