Long before Dalziel and Pascoe hit the small screen I had discovered the joy of reading Reginald Hill.. Childs Play is just one in the series of Dalziel and Pascoe novels..And as with all of this authors work.It has sufficent twists and turns to keep the crime lover guessing.. But the real strength of this author is in his characters, from the seemingly coarse,crude Dalziel ( though surprisingly well read, and a bit of a philosopher), to the asthetic Pascoe..And ugly, but sensitive Wield, you cannot help but get involved in their working and private lives..
