Premium Review City of Bones - Michael Connelly: Bosch is Back (828 words)

Rating:

This novel from author Michael Connelly continues to track the career of Hieronymus (Harry) Bosch. Connelly is a former police reporter, so has some of experience of the world about which he writes, and it does show through. For those of you who are new to the world according to Connelly, Harry Bosch is a Los Angeles detective, loose cannon, a maverick - tenacious, enquiring, and one of the best detectives in the department. Harry works homicide, seeing the end results of the worst excesses of human behaviour, and it's fair to say, these experiences have left their mark on his soul. My Opinion As far as Michael Connelly's Bosch books go, this is ...  Read the complete review

Have you ever watched a TV show or read a book that everyone has raved about but you just did not get? This can happen for a number of reasons including your taste or your state of mind. One area where this can happen a lot is if you watch/read the thing out of order. For films like James Bond this does not matter as each one can be watched separately, but try and watch episode 13 of ‘Lost’ without seeing any of the others and the only thing going missing will be you. You may think that the book you have read was a bit dull, but for the people who have read the first ten ...  Read the complete review
