This novel from author Michael Connelly continues to track the career of Hieronymus (Harry) Bosch. Connelly is a former police reporter, so has some of experience of the world about which he writes, and it does show through. For those of you who are new to the world according to Connelly, Harry Bosch is a Los Angeles detective, loose cannon, a maverick - tenacious, enquiring, and one of the best detectives in the department. Harry works homicide, seeing the end results of the worst excesses of human behaviour, and it's fair to say, these experiences have left their mark on his soul. City of Bones is the 11th novel from award winning crime author Michael Connelly, and the 9th featuring Detective Harry Bosch. The Plot On New Year's Day, reclusive detective Harry Bosch has the callout shift for Hollywood Homicide. A call comes through and Bosch goes to investigate the discovery of a bone. It turns out to be a young boy's bone from a case that is 20 years old, and is the worst sort of case for a detective. Have you ever watched a TV show or read a book that everyone has raved about but you just did not get? This can happen for a number of reasons including your taste or your state of mind. One area where this can happen a lot is if you watch/read the thing out of order.
