After being recommended the Cherub series, I decided to see what the fuss was about. After reading the first book, the Recruit, I must admit I was pleasantly surprised at how engrossing and gripping it was. The series has been compared with the highly acclaimed Alex Rider books and many similarities can be observed between the two series which both place a great importance on spying. The author Robert Muchamore began writing in a peculiar circumstance when he left his job after a rift with the boss. The series are about special undercover agents known as Cherubs (specially trained kids) who are sent on missions to solve mysteries, find evidence and catch ... Read the complete review

Cherub: Class A -------------------- THE CHERUB SERIES A few years back now I started reading the Cherub books when they were fairly new and there were only two books out. They soon became a huge success and from what I can tell are hugely popular amongst children today. The books have proved so popular that the author, Robert Kilgore Muchamore, has even written a spin off series. The BBC has agreed to make a film of the first book which I previously reviewed back in 2006. Already the author has written quite a few books in the series. As soon as I had read the first one I was desperate to read the next, fortunately for me at that time there was one ... Read the complete review

This is the second book in the series and sees the main character James Adams on a mission trying to get evidence for the police to arrest Keith Moore, Europe's biggest cocaine dealer. Kyle Blueman, Nicole Eddison, Kerry Chang join James on this mission as they pose as a family with Ewart & Zara Asker as the parents. They move into an Estate and start to make friends with the locals. James has to try and get on with Junior Moore (Keith's son) to get him close to Keith. Soon James starts making deliveries for some drug dealers around the area until he makes a name for himself. He easily becomes friends with Junior and ends up going on holiday ... Class A is the sequel to The Recruit and I would say it is even better!! James is sent on his biggest mission where he has to enter the world of drugs and attempt to catch the man at the top of the dealing chart. James is sent on this mission with his friends Kyle and Kerry and another girl called Nicole. Their first job is to make friends with the children at the school and find out what they know about the drug dealer. James' job is to get close to the dealer's son, Junior Moore. It turns out that James and Junior are almost made to be friends, can James bring down his friends dad? Or will he bottle it and go back to CHERUB campus? Class A is a fantastic ... This is the second book of the highly successful Cherub series. In my opinion Class A is the best book in the series as it has several twists and turns. Although I won't give out any spoilers it is about when James Adams (the main charachter in the story) and Kerry Chang spy on a drugs baron. In this book James Adams realises everything isn't black and white and this book includes a brilliant climax at the end which is extremely shocking and something you will never expect to happen. This is a very exciting book which continues on the highly successful first book which won many prizes such as Richard and Judy's children book winner for over ... Read the complete review
