Monet at Vetheuil 1878-1883 Claude Monet was a most extraordinary man who through his love of painting brought an everlasting gift of impressionist art to the world. Through the eyes of David Joel a British painter we follow the life of Claude Monet and his family through a five year period at Vetheuil which is closely located to his birth place Paris and on the Norman coast. Vetheuil itself was quietly populated and picturesque and located on the River Seine.
