Considering both the theoretical and the practical settings of client centred practice, Mary Law has collected a significant contribution to the philosophy and practice of occupational therapy. Through the use of case scenarios and examples the theoretical is well presented on a practical level. In an aid to help students of the subject useful exercises have been incorporated to confirm understanding. I have used this text to inform my own practice and teaching for some time and although this retains a North American bias it is clearly valuable to all students and practitioners of OT. ...
