Advantages: Another book from Grisham
Disadvantages: less complex than other Grisham books
The Client This book centres around a deprived young boy aged 11, who assumes the role of a father-figure for his younger brother, by teaching him how to smoke. All of a sudden the boys are in the wrong place at the wrong time. You might think that a young lad that has witnessed something awful would run and hide but this brave lad tries to intervene in the situation but yes, you've guessed it what seemed straight forward never is and the enthralling story begins.......... This kid is streetwise and he knows that he needs help... he manages to employ a lawyer to speak for him. If you have read any of Grishams' books before then this is will not disappoint you. Although this story is perhaps a bit more black and white in terms of the characterisation. It may be different to other Grisham novels but the actual story is just as enthralling and involving as his other books. That is why it is another best selling Grisham story.

janharper - 28/12/00 I'm not keen on John Grisham as a writer. I find his books dreary and long winded. Maybe I've been unlucky in my choice of titles! |
