The book starts in the morning and on the last page all the animals are going to sleep at the end of the day. I think that it is quite clever the way the animal poems are ordered in the book. It starts with that early morning riser - the rooster - and at the end it features the nocturnal fox and owl. This is quite interesting for discussing different animal habits.

Both my daughters love books and reading and my youngest daughter is often able to bring home books from her nursery which she chooses completely by herself. The latest book she has brought home has been Farmyard Hullabaloo which is a lot of fun and we have thoroughly enjoyed reading - that was after I had explained the meaning of 'hullabaloo'! This delightful picture book is written by Giles Andreae and illustrated by David Wojtowycz.
