There was one recurring thought kept popping into my head when reading Cold Caller: "It's really like American Psycho". Whether that is a good or a bad thing will depend on whether you enjoyed that book, but I imagine Jason Starr is probably sick of reviews which make comparisons between them. So Jason: if you happen to read this, I'm sorry! On the plus side, at least it compares favourably. Whereas Psycho concentrated on the empty life of a successful yuppie, Cold Caller takes the opposite route. His yuppie has fallen on hard times.
