I have a mental image of Alex as looking and sounding very much like Bruce Willis in The Sixth Sense. The ex-wife of a TV star is found brutally stabbed to death, having previously revealed that her husband had beaten her up before. I have been reading Kellermans books for a long time now, and have read most of them. The majority of his books are written about the child psychologist Alex Delaware. I have found all of these enjoyable and easy reading. ie the type of book that within seconds of reading you are into the story. However Kellerman has gone away from his normal characters and written about a new police detective in the book Billy Straight. I actually found this book had a stronger story line than his others.
