Advantages: Very classy

Disadvantages: Too rich for my blood

Conde Nast Traveller is kind of like a porn mag for people who love travelling, full of articles and adverts for holidays in places that are unimaginable expensive for normal people. It is a very well-written and intelligent magazine, with articles by people like Julie (famous novelist) Myerson and Simon (Travel guru) Calder. The photography is stunning, and the information about the destinations for those who are either rich, or intending to sell a kidney, is quite detailed.

It is, like all Conde Nast's magazines, ruthlessly metrocentric, frequently giving information about travel developments in and out of London while regarding the rest of the UK as a black hole, inhabited by savages. I also hate the Vogue-ish ads for expensive watches and perfumes, full of ugly anorexic sloaney types.

But maybe that's just me. Even if you're happy to spend your hols in Bognor, this still shows the more exotic and outlandish possibilities out there, and there's a monthly competition to let us proles get a whiff of the high life.
