'Beware of any book that claims to lay bare a shocking truth in less than 250 pages' In retrospect, there were quite a few warning signs on this book before I decided to pick it up for a read at my local library. With it's claim to be an 'international word-of-mouth bestseller' and the intriguing line 'The shocking inside story of how America REALLY took over the world', I probably should have realised that the quality was going to be debatable. Throw into the mix an almost armorial bald eagle swooping down to grasp a globe where a supposed American sphere of influence is marked out in angry red boundaries and my sense of rational pessimism should have been ...  Read the complete review
