Advantages: brilliant novel with a twist
Disadvantages: got to get to the end without putting it down
BLOOD WORK An innocent woman called Gloria suddenly becomes another statistic on the police files....was someone watching her or was she just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Why should McCaleb a retired FBI agent care. A short time ago he was nearly a dead man but was lucky enough to be given a second chance. He spends his days on his boat called “The Following Sea”. Making plans to sail, leaving his past behind. The dead woman’s sister Graciela has other ideas and comes to find him. Through his own twist of fate she convinces him that he can find her sister’s murderer. McCaleb starts digging into the past and is drawn into a deadly game that causes him to become a suspect; the only way he can prove his innocence is to solve the killings. As the pages are turned you follow the gruesome trail of murders that have no pattern but you know there must be a link. The victims’ paths have never crossed, and each time the killer takes a souvenir, is it for gratification or has the killer got a more sinister motive in mind. You think you know who the killer, is...... you are infuriated by the police who can’t see past their theory’s and feel the despair of the victims relations who are left with the sudden death of their loved ones.
