Coram Boy is a children’s book. I wonder how many people I’ve put off immediately by saying that? Well, I hope you’ll all keep reading, because Coram Boy is no ordinary children’s book – it doesn’t feature embryo wizards, high-tech fairies, or any other fantasy stuff that children’s books seem to be about nowadays. It’s not set in a futuristic or alternate universe. It doesn’t have a plot based around vanquishing a nefarious enemy. It doesn’t even have a sparkly or otherwise decorated cover.
