It's got the same name as J.G. Ballard's book and David Cronenberg's now notorious film of J.G. Ballard's book, but it doesn't attract as much attention, presumably because a fiction about people deriving sexual pleasure from deaths and injuries in cars is much more important than the reality of deaths and injuries in cars. Rather in the way the fact that Princess Di died was much more important than why she died - which was because she was travelling in a grossly overpowered machine in a crowded city.
