I'm a very keen jewellery maker, and I have a LOT of books on the subject, ranging from those for complete beginners to really heavy silversmithing manuals. I've had this book in paperback (RRP £12.99) since it first came out in 2004, and although I've bought many, many others since, this is still one of my favourites. This book begins. as most do, with a 'Basic Equipment and Techniques' section, and in my opinion this alone is worth spending the money for. This is a beautifully presented book from cover to cover. The book has an air of sophistication due to the artistic photography of both the finished pieces and the step-by-step detailed shots. The book is just slightly smaller than A4 and this allows a decent amount of spacing for the information for each project, of which there are over 35 to complete.
