Most of us, one way or another, have come across the work of Michael Crichton, be it his books, films or TV series, but how many of us really know who he is? I myself originally thought he was just an author who had a talent for research, but have since found there is much more to Crichton than this. At 6'9" tall, he is in fact a giant in more ways than one. John Michael Crichton was born in Chicago on the 23rd of October 1942. He was a top basketball player in High School (he was 6' 7" by 10th grade) and he graduated from Roslyn High School in 1960. Michael Critcheon tends to go into serious detail in his books to the detriment of the story which is the case with Airframe.It’s a great read to find out about the intricacies of aircraft safety, or not as the case in this book, but not for a good yarn filled with suspense. The story is about a female investigator (Casey) who is assigned to an incident involving flight 545 on route to Denver from Honk Kong.The plain suffered a serious vibration and altitude drop causing serious injury and death from flying debris and impact.
