Background: Over the years I have read many novels written by Margaret Yorke, when I noticed this one in my local bookshop. I thought I had read all her books to be honest and having read the brief description on the back page I wasn't sure if I had read it or not. So I purchased it and hoped it would be something new to me. About the author: Margaret Yorke has been a successful novelist for many many years and is often cited as equal in ability to Ruth Rendell and P.D.James.
