Fingersmith - Sarah Waters: ... by my first experience of the written work of Sarah Waters, and her book “Affinity” (Published in 2005 and therefore later than this work), I bought this book with high expectations and upon recommendation. The story is set in London, the year 1862. We are introduced to the characters that are to form the foundation of the book fairly early on, and the reader is taken from the lowly “Borough” area of London...

curious_tan Shall We Tell the President? - Jeffrey Archer
... reading Archer s "Sons of Fortune", I was convinced that he is a very good story teller (but not a practising politician), so I decided to embark my journey of collecting his works from his first topseller novel, "Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less" to the recent one, "False Impression". "Shall We Tell the President" is my second grab of Mr. Archer s works and proved his talent in writing. Briefly, the novel is the sequel of "Kane and Abel" and "The Prodigal Daughter". The story revolved in the life of Abel s daugher - Florentyna Kane, her political career mostly during the time she became the first woman...

bookfinatic05 The Partner - John Grisham
... 468 page book began with intrigue, suspence, and style. The story line was one of Grishams best. The entie way through I felt like I knew the characters, which I love about books. All that changed when I reached the end. At the very end of the book one character did something, that so wasn t who she was, that it ruined the entire book. The book became completely unrealistc. I won t state the end of the book for those unfortunate enough not to heed this warning, but beware of an almost good book. Beware of a book whose ending is so dispacable, that it completely ruined the entire story. Beware of the Partner....

ste231191 The Da Vinci Code - Dan Brown
... you read the Da Vinci code? What’s it like? The films meant to be rubbish. All these questions were being asked in school how has it anything to do with Christianity? This book has sparked up questions about Christianity the bloodline of Christ were his descendants still living today?? In this review I will not only be reviewing the book but what I have thought of the book and compared it to what people believe etc. All these questions being asked and I was just listening in the background there was people showing me pictures of the last supper how John is meant to look like Mary Magdalene? So? What’s that got to do with anything? I had to find out the answers to th...
