Archangel - Robert Harris:
... it gave the book a very realistic feel. I also enjoyed this first section as it was full of interesting titbits into Stalin's life, about all the close friends and family that he had executed over the years. It's clear that Harris believes Stalin to be at least as evil as Hitler, but unlike Hitler, Stalin is still followed by a large proportion of people to this day.
The problem with the first section is that... Read the full review: Where Exactly did the Archangel Touch You? by samueltyler |

2nd Chance - James Patterson ... an everyday occurrence to find women leading up real life crime investigations so it's only right that fiction follows suit. What I like about this story is how quickly everything moves. James Patterson is always at his best when he's able to churn out twist after twist as it keeps the book moving and the reader engrossed. Detective Lindsay Boxer deals brilliantly with some really quite upsetting murders and has her 'club' on board to help her along. The detail in this book is excellent and James Patterson strikes a really good balance between what the detective is doing and what the killer is up to. I find the characters in this book very realistic which I ... Read the full review: A Brilliant Change from the Usual by DavyMichelle |

1st to Die - James Patterson ... the murder case at hand, there are other interesting sub-storylines going on throughout the book. As James Patterson often does, we read quite a few chapters written from the killer's point of view. Then there are loads of little bits and pieces going on with the other women in the 'women's murder club' too. I think it makes this a really interesting story actually. With a lot of crime thrillers, it's all about rushing through a series of twists and turns trying to solve the crime. But with this book, it's more about enjoying the ride and getting involved with what all the characters are up to. Although this might sound a bit chick lit to some, I think this i... The Client - John Grisham ... he will put anyone in danger to get them. Tensions run high as the mob and the courts have a tussle with Mark in the middle. My Opinion Grisham takes a slightly different tack here in comparison to his previous novels. The tussle going on in this novel is between two factions of the law: the District Attorney's office and a private lawyer. The protection of a minor is handled very well by Grisham, and the fear of the mafia is also handled with the necessary levity to create an atmosphere of caution and anticipation. Throughout the book, I found it very hard to put down, and turned pages constantly when I probably should have been doing something more practical like th...
