Sour Grapes - Marilyn Todd ... a young man growing up in the dense Amazon Rainforest, this book was the only souvenir of my earlier childhood in England. I read this book every night before I went to bed on my matress of liana and shredded tree roots. It s not a particularly enthralling book, but for me it holds special sentimental value, as it was given to me by my great uncle, a good friend of Marilyn Todd s (the author). The story is set in Roman times and falls under the category of crime. It includes light humour in some places and is rife with double-entendres like, for example, one of the central characters, Gaius, who is ostentatios and camp and lives up to the implications of his name. A Great Deliverance - Elizabeth George ... Great Deliverance A very easy read based on the Inspector Thomas Lynley and Sergeant Barbara Havers characters that are based at Scotland Yard. It is another crime investigation story. They discovered a body of a girl or you can say a young woman of 19 years who had her Sunday best clothes on and in her lap was an axe in an old stone barn in a small village of Keldale. Darkly Dreaming Dexter - Jeff Lindsay ... dreaming Dexter is the first of the triple set of Dexter books and what a great book it is from the beginning you get a view into the eyes and mind of a serial killer. What s interesting about this novel is that the serial killer is actually a blood splatter expert working for Miami forensics department. Through the book you get one view point from the normal Dexter the law abiding Dexter but then you also get a view point from what Jeff Lindsay describes as the dark passenger .
