The suffragette movement followed a group of women battling in the early twentieth century for the right for women to have the vote. Recently I've really started to enjoy historical novels, especially anything that focuses on the Tudor times or anything around that era. While in the library I came across a novel that was set a little more recently than the Tudors, in the early twentieth century and focused on the suffragette movement. I remembered doing a little about them in history lessons at school and as I couldn't really find much else in the library I decided to give this book a try. The author Sarah Grazebrook seems to have been writing for some time although does seem to have published relatively few novels in comparison.
