I got this book free with Company magazine a couple of weeks ago, and to be honest, had no intentions of reading it, I suppose I just didn't think anything with Katie Price's name on it could be any good. Of course, we all know that she didn't actually write this book, something confirmed if you look inside at the small print, which tells us someone called Rebecca actually wrote it, although as you read you will see strong influences of Katie/Jordan in there. As it was, I had bought the magazine to read on the train, but found I'd finished it with around an hour of my journey still left, so I started reading the book out of boredom and ended up being pleasantly ... I knew that Katie Price (aka Jordan) had put her name to the previous book in the series (Angel) but as I hadn't read it before being picking this one up from my local library I wasn't sure what to expect from. *** What Is It About?*** Initially, the book covers three girls - Crystal, Tahlia and Belle - who make up the band Fallen Angels. They audition for a reality television show called "Band Audition", which sounds a lot like The X Factor. As with that, the bands are assigned to one of three mentors and even go to the "judges' houses" as part of the bootcamp stage of the audition process. At the same time, Crystal finds herself ... 'Crystal' is the second acclaimed book to be released by the widely famous 'Katie Price' AKA Jordan.Published back in 2007 it went straight to the top of the book charts and sold many copies. I had read Katie Prices first book 'Angel' and really got hooked on it, to be honest i couldn't put it down, so when she brought out a second book i rushed out to buy it. But to be fair the book really in many places bored me, and considering her first book was great, this one was a little bit of a let down. ~The plot~ Crystal, Belle and Tahlia are the girl band 'Lost Ange'l and they fight their way through to the final of Band Ambition - a TV ... 'Crystal' is the second book by Glamour Model and Television Personality Katie Price...though in reality, it was actually written by a ghostwriter. After years of trying to break into the music industry her chance finally comes when her girl band enters a TV reality show contest. But Crystal has a secret. She's fallen for the wrong man and this one mistake could cost her everything - her friendships, her fame and her chance of ever finding love ... Read the complete review

Crystal by Katie Price I was really shocked when I purchased this book to take on Holiday. I was very surprised as I thought it was another autobiography and was not aware that it was of course her debut novel. The book is based on a girl names Crystal who wants to become a famous singer. There are plenty of twists and turns in this story, it is fun, steamy, sexy and sassy and is a great read. The book itself is hard to put down, it's unrealistic for the majority of us who will never be famous, but its entertaining and definitely fun to read. The book itself that that purchased was hard back but it does come in paperback too. You can ... Read the complete review
