But fans of Anne McCaffrey's work will want to read as much as they can about Pern, her dragons and their riders! Ms McCaffrey develops her characters well, giving them depth and believability. I think it is very clever the way that she has tied all the loose ends together e.g. providing explantions for the stories and objects that have been passed down through the generations.
