Advantages: A great story

Disadvantages: No supernatural events, little action

This book may well come as a disappointment to many King fans. Not because it is a bad book, it is not, indeed it is a great book, but it is not at all typical for him.

There are no supernatural events of any kind.

In my view this makes the book more scary, not less, because, unlike the monsters that usually inhabit King's works, this could really happen.

The book concerns Cujo, a lovely and friendly dog. He is happily chasing a rabbit when he falls in to a whole and is bitten by a bat.

Rabies presents an ugly end to the animal.

Trapped in a car with her son, an unlucky mother is watched early by the dog.

Really, really scary book, even if you like dogs, you might start avoiding them after reading this book!

SUMMARY

Little action and no supernatural events will cause many people to dismiss this wonderful book. Make sure you don't.

Summary: Its a great book - just a little different.
