I've read it that often. It was so good that when I did my A level in English I compared it to "A Clockwork Orange" for my coursework. Mike Curtis goes out of his way to describe his life in his autobiography, "CQB - Close Quarter Battle". Mike Curtis joined the Parachute regiment as a young lad and after serving with them in the Falklands and seeing what he described as looking like "a band of gypsies", he decided he wanted to join the SAS.
