Advantages: Insperational

Disadvantages: Upsetting

I am a big fan of Cathy Glass and have read her other two books Damaged and Hidden, so i just had to read Cut. I can tell you that i was not disappointed. This book was just as good as her other two, and she maintains to write in a way that makes you connect to the characters and feel like you know them. As in her other books you can feel the warmth, support and affection she gives all her children, weather or not they are biological or fostered.

This third book is about a young girl called Dawn and she was the first child Cathy ever fostered. This little girl has been abandoned and abused and all she longed for was to be part of a loving family. Cathy finds out she is cutting herself and after time goes by living at Cathy's she starts to open up and Cathy realises what a traumatic childhood Dawn has had.

This book is not just an eye opener to what some children endure in life but also shows that a bit of love, support and stability can change a childs life profoundly. Another 10 out of 10 for Cathy and definitely worth reading.
