This book is most definitely a reflection of modern day life. I particularly liked the way we are fed little snippets of information about each character. As each observation is served in a bite-size piece, we are never bored by the detail that slowly emerges. This is a tale of morals. There is a sharp edge of realism woven into each slightly surreal chapter of the book. It is classified as a thriller, yet starts out life in the humble guise of a mills and boon special.
