Premium Review Danny Wallace and the Centre of the Universe - Danny Wallace: Quick read comes up short (205 words)

Rating:

I was lent this book by my brother as a quick read. Quick was right! I got through it in just over an hour! The book itself is well written, being a story of Wallace's trip to a small place in America that claims to be the centre of the universe, there is a brief explanation of how they come to this conclusion and the remainder of the book follows Wallace on his trip describing the people he meets, the places he visits and the gifts he receives. It's Bill Bryson, hilarious, excellently written, short stories Some parts repeated from other books, can be irritating !

Makes you think (is that a good thing?!)

I'm all for being encouraged to quit a boring job and go on an adventure Virtually no information about Brazil; repetitive; follows the kind of person I'd avoid in real life

Entertaining, informative, a fun read Author sometimes appears too good to be true
