I usually read King’s thriller stuff (The Shining, Rose Madder, etc), but I thought that I would give this book a try. I finished it in a week (but it’s big, mind you). I couldn’t put it down! I can’t wait for the next instalment. The best bit has to be the talking dog thing with the shoes… If you want a funny (yet sometimes serious) book, you don’t need to look any further. As you would expect from King, the description is very detailed and it’s a pleasure to read. A lot of the book is memories from the main characters childhood, but it’s still interesting to read.
