An epic series of books i keep going back to, over and over again! The Janny Wirtis/Raymond Feist combination is definately a winner, and this series proves it. Combining the best of both authors- Janny Wurtis' mystical atmospherics and widely ranging, Ursula le Guin imagination, with Feists expert cultural/social construction and characterisation, this book has an oriental feel, full of richness and extravagance that is difficult to find in fantasy. When i first picked it up I couldn't put it down, so I would strongly advise you not to begin reading this late at night if you value your sleep!
