A few years back, I read an extremely clever and brilliantly inventive new thriller called THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW from a new author named ALLAN FOLSOM. In no way, shape or form related to the Hollywood disaster movie of the same name, the novel told the story of a bloke who stumbles across his father's killer in a train station many years after the fact and, in his pursuit of the assassin, becomes embroiled in a Neo-Nazi plot of global domination. All sounds a bit far-fetched here but it REALLY was an impressive read and I left the book thinking what an excellent debut novel it was.
