It opens a quite detailed universe to the reader - if you can speak of details in such short stories. Reading this book everyone will get amazed and really live the story. What I don't like is the annoying way the Jedi 'friends' use to speak, because after some time of reading their always-present short term of denying everything can really annoy the reader.
