Holland triumphs again with what he does best... dark, gothic and disturbing horror combined with documented historical fact. The story begins in the winter of 1659. Strange murders are taking place around Salisbury Plain (home to Stonehenge). A Roundhead officer, Captian Foxe discovers that these murders may point to a dark and evil ritual of unimanginable horror. Captain Foxe's young son Robert, becomes unwittingly caught up in these events and when a great evil is unleashed he loses his home, the people he loves and nearly his sanity.
