Demon thief is definitely one of the best books in the Demonata series. The second book in the series introduces a different main character, Kernel Fleck. Kernel can see shapes of flashing light in the air so he decides to put them together like a jigsaw puzzle. This resulted in a window being created between his own world and the world of the demonata. Kernel goes through the window and returns a few days later with Art his younger baby brother. Kernel's parents are worried by his actions and move to a quiet village. A year into his life in the new village an old woman summons a demon known as Cadaver who steals Art. The second book in the Demonata series is Demon thief! This series of books is peculiar as there are 3 main protagonists. This was done to keep the reader guessing who was going to die! The author felt readers would like to know that no one is safe, not even the main characters! I do enjoy the names Shan creates, they are as unusual as him! Anyway Kernel begins the book as a relatively normal boy. He has parents and a little brother. Up until his little brother was born he felt quite alone. He has a secret you see, as most ...  Read the complete review

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have just recently finished this book, I've been desprate to finish this one due to reading the first book in the series, what I'm saying is that this is the second book in the series. Like all Darren Shan Books you pick it up and your hands feel glued to the book as you constantly flip through the pages as quick as possible as you are gripped into this amazing story line. I have read all of the first series which is about Darren Shan and vampires. I'm on the last book, that series followed one person and followed him entirely. these books in this series has confussed me a ...  Read the complete review
