May like it if you like 50 Shades!

Being a 50 Shades of Grey fan, when I saw a recommendation for this book in a magazine, which said that this would be a great book for 50 Shades of Grey Fans, I decided to give it a go. Destined To Play is part of a series of books and this is the first one, written by Indigo Bloome. The book is currently available to buy from Amazon for a price of £3.99

      ~ * Plot * ~

Dr Alexandra Blake is married with two children. However, when she meets up with Dr Jeremy Quinn, a fellow doctor and her ex-lover, at a doctors conference, he has a proposal for her; one which she knows she cannot take lightly and once she takes up his offer, there is no backing out. Will she be able to give up her sight for 48 hours? Read Destined To Play to find out!

      ~ * What Is The Plot Like? * ~

The plot is very....unique if little weird. Yet, somehow there is 'real' element about this book as due to the circumstances and the statuses of the two main characters, it doesn't seem that far-fetched; well, certainly not as far fetched as 50 Shades of Grey. However, I have to say it wasn't really a plot I enjoyed. To be honest, I found this book to be quite boring. It's definitely not as much of a gripping read as 50 Shades.

      ~ * What Are The Characters Like? * ~

The book is written in the first person and so we get the whole story from the lead character, Alexandra's perspective, The characters I thought were quite 'hard to get to' and despite the fact that the story is told in the first person, and so we should be able to connect easily to the main character, I just could not.

I also felt a bit 'left out' about the whole thing that had gone on in the past with Jeremy. One thing that I found interesting was the fact that as the main characters are doctors, and so are professionals, you feel inclined to trust them, but at the same time you think are they trustworthy? So that definitely adds an edge to the book.

All in all, I would recommend this book as it is quite different, although it's not really 'up there' with 50 Shades of Grey.

      Thanks for reading!
