Destiny of Nathalie X, The and Other Stories - William Boyd

I spotted this book in a tiny book store in Tenerife nearly five years ago. The first story is about the making of a film about Natalie X and is made up of extracts of peoples lives and how they portray Natalie. The film is supposed to start with Natalie sitting in front of a mirror naked applying make up but there is a lot of confusion and the film doesn't get finished with the same actors. It is hard to explain this book as you have to read it to understand it. It is a very good read and the variety of the stories makes it interesting and unique.
