Advantages: You will feel absoultely amazing!

Disadvantages: You need to be very organised

The review, 'The Woman is a Sadist', is absolutely nothing to do with this book. I have this book and have followed the detox many times. There are so many inaccuracies in the previous review that I can not see how this person is relating it to this book. What is outlined as the 3 day detox in the review, is not even in this book!

I agree that it is hard work to get thorugh the 30 days, however, it is all about timing and being organised. You CAN eat fish, You CAN eat Non-diary (e.g. goats or sheeps yoghurt, milk or cheese such as chevre, real Feta, Roquefort and soy or rice milk), you CAN eat potatoes, you CAN eat rice. Basically the food reccomended on the 10 day (and 30 day detox for that matter) outlined in the book is NOT the same as what is outlined in the review below.

If you follow the advice in the book, become a little creative you should never feel hungry, if you are hungry YOU should EAT SOMETHING(!) I mean in everyday life if you are hungry don't you normally eat something?! This is not a diet and by no means should you feel hungry, if you do, it means you are not eating enough. As long as they ae unsalted you can eat nuts, popcorn, humus, and I particularly got into eating a lot of variations of detox coleslaw!

Also, the interesting thing about this book, is there is a section up front, the mini quiz, and if you are honest with yourself when you take this you know if you are ready to begin a detox - of any length. If you score highly you will probably not actaully find it such a big leap to doing the full 30 day program. Although, be warned, be carefull that it doesn't take over your whole life for the 30 days.

It is great fun learning and doing things as this is not just a food program - its a food, body and mind type of thing. I learnt a new level of french, experimented with food (I'm a great cook, but some of the experiments were complete failures and others gastronomical successes!), I took a class in rollerbladding (was black and blue, but made some new friends!). Its a chance to do some great fun things for yourself and your family.

Its not a health farm quack experiment, like outlined in the review below.

If this book is followed properly you will feel the benefits, energised, sleep amazingly, less stressed, able to deal with stress better, look amazing, and most of all just feel good about yourself.

I am a real advocate as it altered my life in so many ways the first time, and every time, I detox that I am alway lending this book to family and friend - now they all love it too!

My last piece of advise is get yourself to a place where your first detox is a 30 day one, there after you can just top it up with the shorter 10 day detoxs and mini fasts to keep the feeling and benefits of Detox going - ENJOY!

Summary: This program is fairly simple way to achieve complete youthful rejuvenation and feel great!

A warm welcome to Dooyoo!

Any review should stand on its own, without reference to another review - I understand why you felt the need to react to what you'd read, but bear in mind that your audience (eg me!) won't necessarily have read the previous review. One way round this would be to 'extract' the other point of view: eg "In answer to the complaint that this book ..., I would say that ..." - does that make sense?

If you have any questions - on this or any aspect of the site - do feel free to contact me or another guide. The quickest way to reach me would be through the (free!) Tooyoo guestbook system: http://www.tooyoo.org/boo k.php?user=calypte

Happy Dooyoo'ing!
