This book is the diary of a football season through the eyes of a fictional Premier League player. Darren Tackle is what you would love these supposed clean-living, pasta-eating, mineral water-drinking to really be like. He drinks like a fish, snorts cocaine in clubs toilets and is more interested in the quality of the dressing room banter and his clothes than whether the club is winning. His team is full of characters too. There's Wattsy, the hard man, Bob, the joker (his favourite prop being, well, poo) and Carmine, the unsettled South American star.
