Advantages: Great story, very easy to get into
Disadvantages: None
Die For Me is the first Karen Rose novel I've read - and I really enjoyed it!
16 graves have been discovered in a field in Philadelphia, 7 of them are empty but 9 contain the remains of people who have been tortured and brutally murdered. We quickly learn that the killer is a computer games designer who kills his victims in order to capture their likenesses in his games. (That's not a spoiler by the way, these details are revealed on the back of the book).
The story is told through the eyes of the detectives, the killer and the victims meaning that the story is always switching from one perspective to another. This was a great way to keep the story fresh and certainly had me turning the pages.
The book is 695 pages long, making it the biggest book I've ever read! Even though the chapters a quite long, they are split-up into short, manageable sections if you've only got time for a quick read.
This is a great story, quite similar to the film Untraceable (if you liked that, you'll like this - and vice-versa). I'll definitely be buying her next book.
Summary: Fantastic
