My son loves dinosaurs and I mostly think this is like most boys but also is down to George, Peppa pig's brother, owning a toy dinosaur.
He was given the book Dinosaur Roar the paperback version.

Dinosaur roar is written by Paul and Henrietta Stickland in 2005. Paul is also the illustrator. The book is very simple to read and follow. It is designed to teach opposites as it gives two extreme versions of dinosaurs fat and tiny. The pictures do replicate different dinosaur and are obvious what they are trying to describe I do think that once my son understands the concepts that I will be able to point to ask him to point to them but for now I point as I read. I do expect that in the future I am going to need to learn the names and pronunciation of these creatures but at this time is perfect for my level as well as my son's.

The text is in large bold letter but the pictures flow over the two page spread. It has a very rhythmic rhyme and I read with great expression which emphasises the words like dinosaur quick and dinosaur slow. It finishes with all the dinosaurs eating their lunch together and all the noise they make.

The pages are thin but glossy and I do believe that less than two years of age he would have just torn this book like many others he tore.

My son initially had little interest in this book but as time has passed he has got more interested. I do think how the book flows and has only a few words but plenty to look at helps hold his interest. I read him this book tonight and he stayed focused throughout which is a recommendation from him as he is in quite a hyper mood this evening.

I personally find this one his more enjoyable books to read which a huge plus from me is. I think most pre school boys and any girls who are interested in Dinosaurs would love this book.
