Advantages: Its was free, contains so much in so few words! super illustrations, great rhymes!

Disadvantages: None!

My little boy has always been a BIG dinosaur fan, so when this book came as a free gift in the bookstart pack when he was about 2 we were both very pleased!

The book is very simple with just 2 words on each page but the choice of words is very effective for a number of reasons...

-The text is rhyming. (I dont know about you but I love rhyming books and my little one seems to enjoy them too!) and it's a nice introduction to this concept.

-They all describe the dinosaurs using direct opposites, which is both very educational and fun!

-They have fantastic illustrations to back them up- really colourful, exagerated and funny!

The ending has a little twist, where all the dinosaurs eat up their lunch- I always pretend that my little boy is on the menu and try and gobble him up with the book, he finds it really funny and looks forward to this part of the book!

EXAMPLE OF THE TEXT:
Dinosaur weak, dinosaur strong, dinosaur short, or very very long.
Dinosaur fat, dinosaur tiny,dinosaur clean and dinosaur slimy!

This book is a simple but wonderful book particularly for under 4s and especially if they are dinosaur fans! It contains so much using so few words- opposites, rhyme, colours, shapes, personality and humour.

As a free gift this is outstanding, I would even recommend it to buy if you do not get this one in your pack!! (especially as Ive seen it on Amazon for as little as 1p!)
