Advantages: Funny, interesting, a good read

Disadvantages: Rushed towards the end

This has to be the strangest book I have ever read, but is also one of the funniest. The detective appears half-way through the novel, so this should tell you what the book is like.

Dirk Gently, rather than dealing with just one or two mundane murders like Poirot has to solve a puzzle which threatens the whole human race. He only started out by trying to find a missing cat!

the only disappointing thing is that I did feel the ending was a little rushed. It felt like the author had just given up. Too many plot points were wrapped up in just a few pages. It's best if you read it and see what you think for yourself, as it is very funny.

The best part of the book though is the discussion of Schrödinger's Cat - in quite a unique way. Has Douglas Adams rocked the world of Quantum Mechanics?
