Once again I am writing this opinion on a book I haven't finished reading. I find this prevents me from ruining the ending for any future readers. I bought this book from 'The Book People' ( which is a no commitment book club who I have previously wrote about on Dooyoo ) in a pack of ten thrillers for a tiny price of ten pounds. Out of the ten thrillers which included Mario Puza's The Godfather, Lorenzo Carcaterra's Sleepers and James Lee Burke's A Stained White Radiance I chose Stephen Hunter's Dirty white Boys after I read the blurb which is as follows: 'Three convicts on the run with an arsenal of weaponry and only one ... Dirty white boys by Stephen Hunter This is a veritable helter skelter of a book. I have seldom come across a book so powerful in its characters and plot,there is even a mandatory twist at the end. Lamar Pye is a psychotic killer serving life in an American penitentiary, with him is his cousin Odel and a weedy wimp called Richard Peed, serving life for matricide. Lamar is enjoying a solitary shower when he is confronted by another con bent on murder, Lamar duly dispenses with him in a cruel and effective manner and realises that he will have to escape to save his own skin.
