The one thing that has always characterised Christopher Fowler’s writing and made him stand out from many other fiction writers is his great knowledge of and love for the city in which he plies his trade. In Fowler’s case, this is London. Much as Stephen King’s novels frequently return him to the state of Maine, Fowler is often drawn towards London.
