do not pass go is a fascinating book by tim moore, a self confessed monopoly nut. He talks about the role monopoly played in his childhood, being a game that he grew up with and that brought the family together, before going on a journey around the board. each colour party has a chapter dedicated to it, where he attempts to explain why these roads might have been chosen, and explain the atmosphere in each road both historically when the roads were chosen, and what they are like nowadays. His writing has appeared in The Sunday Times, Esquire, the Observer and the Daily Telegraph to name but a few places. To be honest, I'd never heard of him until Christmas morning and I ...
