When it comes to car's there are few people in the media at present that seem to know there stuff better than Jeremy Clarkson. Now I've read a number of Clarkson's other books about all sorts of subjects but Don't Stop Me Now is the first of his books, purely about cars, that I have picked up and read. Of course like his other books, The World according to Clarkson 1 & 2 this isn't a book of material written specifically for this purpose. It is once again a collation of articles written for the Sunday times between June 2003 and March 2006. Having been a fan of Top Gear for a long time I've always found that Clarkson's car reviews are more accessible than ... Read the complete review

Jeremy Clarkson is an English broadcaster and writer, specialising mainly in motoring, writing columns in the Sunday Times and the Sun, and also presenting Top Gear. I find Jeremy Clarkson's ways of describing cars like no other making even the rubbish of cars sound like Bugatti Veyron's. His views on life I also find particularly interesting, in which he is very straight to the point saying whatever he feels without a care in the world. Anyway his book: Don't Stop Me Now. I was a little unsure what to expect in this book, given the fact that I had not read any other of his Flicking through, you're gifted with a range of pretty car ... Read the complete review

Firstly, this is more than a book about cars. It is Mr Clarkson's dry, witty and always cynical outlook on the world. If, like me, you find relief in discovering someone who is still politically incorrect, chauvanistic and doesn't care who knows it you will love the book. I found a lot of myself reflected in reading this I have not enjoyed reading a book as much as this in a long time. The format of the reviews makes this an easy read to pick up and put down. Reviews are about 4 pages on average with great photography. The first 3 pages of a review are devoted to a humorous commentary on something seemingly unconnected with a car. This is always rectified in ... Read the complete review

Most of us know Jeremy Clarkson- the tall, funny Top Gear presenter who has dabbled in other things! He knows his cars, and it was that and the fact that he makes me laugh that made me want to pick up this book. The title is Don't Stop Me Now, and according to the cover it was The Number One Sunday Times Bestseller. That all bodes well, I thought. The book is made up of about forty short five or six page 'chapters', that were originally written for Jeremy's newspaper column. While not a series and not linked in any way, they are in chronological order, and some of them do make reference to previous chapters. When I started reading the ... Read the complete review

Having been a long time fan of Top Gear and loving Jeremy Clarkson's sarcastic sense of humour I was more than pleased to recieve this book as a present one christmas. Almost as soon as the paper was off I was tucked up in bed reading. This is Jeremy's opportunity to have a bit of a moan about pretty much everything, now that might not sound much to read but once you've read a Jeremy Clarkson book you'll understand. His sense of reasoning is laughable and he makes some pretty good points. Some of you may be put off thinking that the book is all about cars, he is after all the Top Gear presenter but this is not the case, he writes about ... Read the complete review
